We will be back

It has been a while since we updated this blog. We have decided we wish to find a new service that is more interactive which is also less demanding with time. Formating articles and images takes far to long and it hinders responding to key events quickly.

However Fox In Parliament has gone from strength to strength and along with our main organisation of Support the Hunting Act (BAN) UK you will be hearing plenty more of us this year. Expect to see a relaunch of our Fox in Parliament blog and to be an even bigger pain to the hunting lobby and David Cameron.

In the meantime you can follow us on Twitter and Facebook, see links on the right hand side. We will add a note when this blog will close and give info on the new one. We do not have a date for that yet but we are building many teams this year in parliament and internaly for the lobby and a new blog team is firmly on the cards.

To mark our progress and politics we are hosting a high profile conference to help answer the questions needed and to set the tone for Where Next for the Hunting Ban. From here we will firmly be rasing the game against cruelty and making it clear repeal of the hunting ban is not on and will not be supported by the wider nation.

Thank you to all who have read these articles and left comments, this is not goodbye as we will be back and will be a much stronger voice on the web.

If you would like to become a member of our campaign/political animal lobby then do get in touch, just send an e-mail to back.the-hunt-ban@inbox.com We are always looking for talented individuals to help the lobby and to help at events. So if your passion is stopping animal cruelty returning and you are a member or supporter of the Labour Party then contact us today.

Support the Hunting Act (BAN) UK and Fox in Parliament is a new force in the animal world but with the twist that we are not just a campaign but a political animal lobby as well. Our goal is protecting our wildlife and in ensuring those who support the most are elected.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Gary Hills / Campaign Director.

On the 29th June 2010 Ireland banned the cruelty that is stag hunting with dogs. This vital move paves the way forward for banning other blood sports such as fox-hunting and hare coursing. The article below was written just before the vote banning stag hunting took place. We feel it is still valid as it relates to why no blood sport is ever justified so we have not sort to amend the article to the latest news.

————————————————————-

Our response to Kevin Myers of the Irish Independent for his article:

The essence of good land management is murder

Read his article and then our response. We feel we are more realistic then he could ever be.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

It is staggering to keep reading such weak excuses for animal cruelty? Mr Myers article from the Irish Independent is a prime example of how the press fail to see the reality.

Mr Myers states “Natural selection genetically engineered most stags to escape the hounds’ forebears, the wolf pack, so there is nothing more natural for a stag than to be hunted”

Stag hunts are manmade and have no effect on population numbers of stags at all. They are pointless in the extreme. Just like fox hunting they serve one purpose and one purpose only. They are there for the enjoyment of a tiny few. You can never compare nature to the stupidity of man. A wolf would indeed give chase to a stag and kill. Yet wolves did so to survive. Natures balance was already set when it came to deer’s by the existence of the wolf. It was man after all who wiped the wolf out of Ireland and the UK. The notion that a few stags killed by a stag hunt could make up for natures balance is stretching reality to the extreme.

Ignorance seems rife amongst those that go stag hunting the endless excuses to justify charging around the countryside for miles after mile to terrify a stag. Serves only to show how out of touch with decent society they are. It is right that the Greens and the Irish Labour Party seek to ban the activity for good. In the wider context allowing stag hunting and any form of blood sport brings shame to any nation that allows such stupidity to continue.

Banning stag hunting will not lead to an explosion in deer populations and deep down Mr Myers knows that. It will not also alter the situation with the planting of trees. Yet what is clear is as bit of thought about where trees are planted will destroy the notion that tens of thousands of deer need culling.

Killing animals has seldom anything to do with acting as natures balance. Nature does not need a helping hand in the way it’s assumed. Just because farmers 200 years ago planted hedges and ploughed up the land does not mean nature is on a long term holiday. Given the chance nature would soon take back those fields and trees would once again start to flourish.

It is man that causes the problems in how the countryside behaves. It may come as a shock for some people in the press to learn that there are no straight line is nature. Man has destroyed most of the natural habitat animals use to live in. Yet seem shocked when they seek refuge elsewhere. We are but one species out of many, the ability to talk clearly is still not linked to the ability to think. The countryside is a living breathing environment it is not just another tool for man.

Too much weight is given to the need to raise money from the land instead of preserving it for our wildlife or future generations. A landowner may indeed own land but at what cost. Why should animals and people lose out just because a landowner wants to plough up yet another wood or meadow? If we really care for the countryside we have to remember why it’s there and its purpose in nature. It should never only be seen as a route to make money.

The other notion that without blood sport nature cannot survive shows how little some men understand nature at all. Yet should we be surprised at the ignorance shown, well no for those that support blood sports are forever using such lame claims as a reason to kill. Animal cruelty is animal cruelty; you cannot dress it up and hide it amongst myths of need.

Mr Myers grandiose assumptions over foxes is also easy to dispute, only man kills for fun and to imply that logic to foxes shows a level of ignorance that is beyond common sense.

The countryside is never just woodlands and green foliage. Plants survive because animals and insects exist to create natures balance. If Ireland wants to be seen as a land of decency and fairness then ending stag hunting, fox hunting and hare coursing would be a right approach. The great news of Northern Ireland banning hare coursing should be seen as a beacon of common sense and decency, something Ireland should follow.

However Mr Myers wants to gloss over animal cruelty he should never pretend the pro hunting lobby is the only option the Irish people have. Instead of rushing to defend blood sport he should think about what is good for Ireland and its wildlife. Killing animals for fun is never the answer and makes his article look as if it was written in the 1800s. It’s time to move away from blood sport and get some decency back.

Jackie Charltons shame

It seems sometimes that just because somebody played football we as a nation are never

allowed to questions a persons judgement. Well we disagree. Any person who takes parts in or actively supports blood sport lets society down regardless of who they are.

In this example its mink hunting, Mr Charlton is so proud of his connection that he gives the commentary. When this video was taken is not known. Yet it might as well have been made yesterday.

If the threat with hunting returning is not bad enough, ignorance over

common sense now seeks to kill our Badgers.

Despite all the evidence that any culling of Badgers is utterly pointless in the control of TB, it seems far to many people are unwilling to listen to reality. Those in the Welsh Assembly who have ordered the recent cull should hang their heads in shame.

This is not science based reasoning, this is pure ignorance to panda to the farming lobby.

The concept of TB in cattle has been around for decades, yet no cull of Badgers has done anything to stop the spread of TB in cattle. If culls of the past proved this, why on earth are they trying to insist on failed reasoning.

There has to be some grown up thinking to this issue and not the knee jerk prejudice that exist.

DEFRA under Labours Hilary Benn concluded that a Badger cull was not in the interest of animal welfare or of any measure to solve the issue. One can only hope that the Tories Caroline Spellman who is the new DEFRA Sectary heads the same advice. Given that DEFRA spent years looking into this issue it would be foolhardy of any new administration to ignore solid reasoning.

If Australia can use vaccinations in their cattle for TB why can’t British Farmers?

The plight of our Badgers typifies the risk to our wildlife. Under threat from repeal of the hunting ban from hunters and their blood lust, despised by some sections in the farming industry. Seen as mere playthings by Tory MPs while the Lib Dems sit on the fence or proactively agree. To being seen as just something to kill for fun or because its to hard to think of solutions.

It’s not just society that will suffer under this Coalition it will be our wildlife in their thousands. Welcome to the old ways of thinking, the champions of ignorance for whatever they claimed before the election there is nothing new in their thinking.

I’m from a small village in South Shropshire where I have lived all my life. My partner and I love going for long walks with our three dogs and appreciate the beauty of the countryside. About seven years ago, ‘Otis’ Ferry moved into the old ‘Gamekeeper’s’ Cottage on the outskirts of the village. After dusk on Friday, March 3rd 2006, we took our dogs for a long walk through the local

lanes and when we were about eighty yards past the entrance of Mr. Ferry’s lengthy driveway, we heard the most horrific cries of a dog resounding from his property.

We ran back towards the end of the driveway where we witnessed Mr. Ferry, clearly lit up by his bright security light, repeatedly beating a dog with what was either a wooden or metal pole about five feet in length until the dog fell silent. As Mr. Ferry was beating this dog, he twice shouted “Now look what you’ve done !!’. He lifted up the lifeless body of a white long haired Jack Russell and threw it into the boot of his Range Rover. Unaware of our presence, I had to shout several times that I was calling the Police!

Mr Ferry appeared somewhat stunned and annoyed that his violent behavior had been witnessed at this isolated location and shone a searchlight at us, shouting back “Go back to the hostel”. Frustrated and certainly rather than take the law into his own hands, my partner decided to punish ‘Otis’ with a bluff, alleging that his “act of violence was caught on camcorder.”

We then started to make our way back home as quickly as possible to report the incident but within minutes, a panic stricken ’Otis’ Ferry came speeding alongside us in the lane. This particular part of the lane was narrow with steep embanked hedging and Mr. Ferry used his Range Rover to threaten and make us feel uncomfortable. We managed to lose him and when we got home we called the Police and the RSPCA. The RSPCA got back to us saying there was “Nothing they could do because they did not find the body of a dog“.

The Police informed us they had contacted Mr. Ferry and he’d told them that “His bitches were in season making a lot of noise and that he went outside to quiet them down.” There was also a couple in the lane being a nuisance”. Based on the lack of evidence, the Police decided not to take things further. On a hunting Saturday in January 2008, we witnessed three very nervous Jack Russell’s with terrible facial injuries on Mr. Ferry’s property. Since making the complaint regarding Mr Ferry’s beating of his dog, incidents of harassment have been made. A dead Badger has been placed on our vehicle and a dead fox left on our door step. Whilst we cannot conclusively prove that Mr Ferry was the bearer of these unwelcome gifts, it does seem suspicious that the dead animals began to appear shortly after our complaints to the Police.

What cannot be questioned is when Mr. Ferry sees us out walking our dogs; he drives slowly behind us in the lanes and even stalks us down public footpaths across the fields. Sometimes he has been seen filming us with a camera or mobile and always likes to claim that we’re on private land when we’re actually on a public footpath! On January 5th this year, there was a late evening fall of snow and we chose to take a short nearby walk in a field about seven minutes from our home. We noticed a vehicle with a bright searchlight doing sweeps up and down the fields and heading in our direction. This vehicle is the same type of care that Mr. Ferry drives a black Shogun. The Shogun suspiciously picked up speed and drove rapidly in our direction. Acting upon our wits, we dodged through a field gate with our dogs, narrowly escaping being hit by the vehicle.

From the security of his car, Mr. Ferry has been witnessed to have made two separate slit-throat gestures at my partner and has also threatened to shoot our dogs. In mid July 2008, a shot was fired in our direction from approximately 110 yards, whilst we were walking along a public footpath with our dogs. Whilst the shot could have been fired by anyone, we found it quite suspicious that Mr Ferry emerged minutes later, driving away in his car.

Despite reporting most of these incidents to the Police and being given crime reference numbers, we have been told to ignore him and that it is just ‘bullying tactics‘ and that there is not a lot they can do without any evidence. My partner has also been harassed by pro-hunt vehicles driving very close at him and blaring their horns whilst he cycled along the main road into Shrewsbury on different occasions. One of these vehicles we’ve seen parked on Mr. Ferry’s property. Most people in our village are against hunting and some will not say anything because they fear reprisals from the hunting fraternity.

At twilight, on Friday 23rd November 2007, whilst out walking our dogs, we came across a miniature Jack Russell that was limping but kept relentlessly following us in the lane. We tried very hard to find the owner and knocked on several doors which each had overhead CCTV surveillance but received no reply. Concerned for its welfare, we decided to let this vulnerable dog come home with us. The following day, we took the dog to the vets as we knew the vet could check to see if it was micro-chipped and then contact the owner to collect it. The veterinary assistant informed us the dog was not micro-chipped and that we should either contact the Police or dog warden about the circumstances.

We decided to contact the dog warden. The Police meanwhile came round to our address and took my partner in for questioning. It transpired that this dog belonged to Mr. ‘Otis’ Ferry but he had, claimed it had been stolen off his property on Tuesday, 20th November which was three days prior to us actually coming across this dog! My partner received an unjust theft caution for an ‘act of good faith‘…‘Why on earth would we want another dog when we’ve three ‘rescued dogs’ already ? At a much later date, we read in the media that two days before we found this dog on Wednesday, November 21st 2007, Mr. ‘Otis’ Ferry was involved in an incident with ‘The Heythrop Hunt’ at Stow-on-Wold, Gloucestershire where he had allegedly attacked a female hunt monitor.

(Wednesday 7th November 2007!) and claiming that he had only got involved in a skirmish with hunt monitors because of the recent and ‘stressful theft’ of his (puppy) !! This statement unjustly influenced the judge in his final summary of proceedings which only resulted in Mr Ferry receiving a twelve month conditional discharge.

Despite us writing a letter to the Chief Inspector of West Mercia Police in December 2009, which included a copy of my partner’s caution with the date the Police were falsely informed that Mr Ferry claimed his dog was stolen along with evidence that Mr ‘Otis’ Ferry presented a different time frame his for when his dog was stolen to the media and Crown Court, the Police would still not lift the caution my partner received. It very much appears that Mr ‘Otis’ Ferry is above the law with Police documentation that states otherwise…. On a country living basis we feel suffocated by Mr Ferry’s malice towards us and any such harassment he may be connected with. Not being able to enjoy the same rural walks we’ve enjoyed since childhood has spoilt our way of life and left us worried about further actions.

Decency took a step back today by allowing an unelected David Cameron to assume office. His party won no mandate and has no legitimacy is saying his manifesto stands. His pledge to repeal the hunting ban was an indication of just how far removed he is from decent society. Whatever Cameron may assume he is, he will never fill the shoes of the man he replaced?

So where does this leave our wildlife, well it’s not good the balance of numbers in the commons is tight. Yet there are no guarantees that Cameron will even honour a Free Vote, despite his pledge. For if he thinks he would lose his bid for repeal on a Free Vote he will make it a government bill. There is also the option of a Private Members Bill which would amount to the same result. His defence for such underhand tricks would be to say a commitment to repeal was in the manifesto or that he is supporting one of his MPs with legitimate concerns.

It’s also more than likely he will hide the repeal among other pieces of legislation. So it will be the case that if you oppose it, you would also be saying no to some sweetener that is added. Other moves could see the timing of the bill come into play. If they time it when they know the least number of MPs opposed to repeal were present. Then again the result would be bad.

Labour is short some 49 MPs of the Tories 307. Yet now with the Lib Dems added in it gives them 364. On paper that is a majority of 106. How the Lib Dems vote will decide the outcome. 30 have indicated they would support the ban. Yet that was on the assumption it was a Free Vote. It’s the same with the Tories. 14 said they would support the ban. Yet again if not a Free Vote would they? For to have a career in the Tories today you have to be pro hunting.

Labour MPs will step up to the plate and they will lead to fight against repeal in the Commons. Of that we have no doubt. Out of all the 258 Labour MPs it is expected only two would vote for repeal. So you can be sure we will be making their names known if that is the case. There is no justification for any Labour MPs to support animal cruelty.

The League Against Cruel Sports have come up with some numbers, now we have not had time to look at them in full to see which MPs they refer to. What is clear however is this is no time for thinking Cameron could not achieve his aims?

Of the new parliament according to the League Against Cruel Sports.

     251 MPs support the repeal

     254 MPs support the ban

     6 would abstain

35 MPs have not declared which way they would go.

This will no doubt be a massive battle and there is much lobbying needed. If the figures are correct then it really is tight. Nothing can be taken for granted. The way the public can help is to keep raising it with their MPs and in public. Let others know that this is not a what if. David Cameron placed repealing the hunting ban in his manifesto and it’s no joke.

Put pressure on Nick Clegg, what is his Party’s policy. Will he abide by the will of the people or a stick to a dodgy undemocratic deal with Cameron? It’s not good enough for Clegg not to answer or to spell out his party’s position. We as Support the Hunting Act (BAN) UK and Fox in Parliament will be challenging him to do the right thing. If not then he is as bad as David Cameron. Campaign groups will mobilise but it needs you to help spread the word and get involved. We are looking for new bloggers and people to join us.

There are many positions within the campaign that need good people to fill. We are towards the Labour Party, so if you are interested it’s expected that you would support Labour being in office. For info send an e-mail to: back.the-hunt-ban@inbox.com

We always said a man who sees nothing wrong in animals being torn apart for fun is unfit to lead the nation. That is still the case, nothing has changed. We cannot allow the hunting lobby through David Cameron to dictate policy over our wildlife.

No matter the excuses they will use, no matter the lies they will dress up as reasons and no matter the desire of those that want to hunt. Hunting with dogs is wrong and has no place in our society. We will have one chance of stopping this repeal and we do need you.

Cameron thinks nothing of your view, he cares not that 75% of the population does not want hunting ban repealed. He is a hunter and of the worst kind. He is the type that has to be upfront for the kill. He is the type who gets that look of satisfaction and excitement just before the hounds tear into the fox. He is the type that thinks society is there for only the privileged while other <img class="size-medium wp-image-1888 alignleft" title="This little guy is hated by Cameron and his hunting chums. He is the man who will ignore your democracy to suit himself and the interest of the hunting lobby. He is the man who will not represent you.

No matter if your views are Conservative, Labour or Lib Dem, Green, SNP or whatever. Your views against hunting will not be listened to unless we make him listen.

We are at a crossroads and it is our wildlife that could so easily be the victims. They have done nothing to deserve David Cameron and his pro blood sport chums. They only seek to survive. Why does anybody think they have a right to commit acts of deliberate animal cruelty in the name of fun?

We will stand against him and Nick Clegg if he backs Cameron and we will say no. The question is will you say no as well?

The time is over. The debates and the outcomes are now just a moment waiting for history. In just a few hours the fate of our wildlife, our society and your future will be known. The outcome could be something that we dread or one that gives hope to the values people hold.

This election is different; it is the first in many years were nobody knows for sure what the outcome will be. Every vote cast could mean the difference of success or failure. All elections are important yet this one is tinged with fear.

Many people imply a fear of the unknown and David Cameron clearly is an unknown, or is he? We all know his background and we know him for the person he presents on TV. Yet what do any of us know of the man who assumes he should be the Prime Minister. Well it’s is easier to look at what is less said about him by a biased media desperate for you not to know.

Cameron is a man who is rooted with the aristocracy to the point where his upbringing has been separate to that of most of the nation. He is a man who has been helped into jobs not because of ability but due more to the old School Tie. We know his views of the world were born out of belonging to elitist groups. It would be hard to imagine a more separated view of society for a would be PM then the Bullingdon Club.

Reality is that be it for society or for our wildlife David Cameron is not the man for the job. For we know one aspect about him that is known above all others. Cameron is not the decent and caring person he makes out. We are not auditioning for a person to head up Sky News or to be the editor of the Sun. We are looking to elect a person who will lead the nation and speak for the nation.

We can think of few worse outcomes then to have a pro blood sport person as the Prime Minister of the UK. It will bring shame to the nation and will have disastrous outcome for our wildlife. This is not a short term prospect he could be in place for 5 years, 10 years….15 years?….For there is no cast iron guarantee he would get just one term.

Britain is a great nation and its people are some of the most compassionate in the world. It’s a source of great pride that Britain’s are described as animal lovers. Yet are you really ready for a leap in the unknown? Are you scared? We are and its right to be scared for David Cameron is in place because wildlife killers wanted him there. Just like Shadow DEFRA Tory Minister Nick Herbert, the darling of the kill for fun brigade.

Do you know the only reason the Countryside Alliance exists was so they could try to prevent a ban taking place. Nick Herbert used to head up the communications for the British Field Sport Society (BFSS) One of the most extreme blood sport groups around. It is now of course called the Countryside Alliance. Yet the hunting lobby is not as far as you as you may think. They have poured millions into trying to buy your vote.

If you live in a marginal or a seat targeted by Vote OK, who bus in stack loads of hunters to do the Tory’s election bidding then you will have had contact. You just would not know it. Democracy has taken a back seat in the Conservative party to ensure animal killers have a bigger distorted say. For the Conservatives have a new name today which reflects their party better, the Countryside Alliance Party. Such is the way they are linked you cannot put a piece of paper between them. If the Tories win it will be them who set out rural policy and not the Conservative Party.

Tory Lord Ashcroft is also trying to buy your vote. Yet ask yourself why the media has turned a blind eye to Vote OK? The Countryside Alliance action wing, not that they will admit it.

Do you really want the election outcome decided by people who smile and laugh when an animal is being torn apart? The vile spectre that is the hunting lobby holds some of the richest people in the land but also those with the least decency. If it was not for their wealth they would be locked up as criminals for such actions against animals. They say money corrupts well so do attitudes and the sickening way the press seek to protect people engaged in election rigging is a disgrace.

For our wildlife everything hangs in the balance, if Cameron wins then the ban could be overturned in just 4 weeks…It was thought 5-7 months yet such is Cameron’s desire to deceive the nation he will want to sneak it through before you have a chance to object.

For those who think a hung parliament could change that if Nick Clegg linked with the Tories think again. Clegg was never in favour of the hunting ban and that alone is reason to be fearful. More than half of his parliamentary party voted against the hunting ban being introduced. His party also has a policy like the Tories of wanting to kill tens of thousands of our Badgers.

Clegg is not going to come 1st or 2nd. The Lib Dems have 63 MPs. Now he would be lucky to increase that by 5/15 more. He may lose some. So as for the claim it’s between him and Cameron its complete arrogance and just not reality. The Lib Dems will come third and a vote for them in most places in the country is a wasted vote.

Now people could argue that hunting is one issue and they would be right. Yet it’s one that has implications not just for animals but for people as well. How can a man wedded to animal cruelty care about the lives of people? Cameron has shown again and again that he favours the supper rich. Oh he gives a good spin when he bangs on about the National Insurance rise but spin is all it is. He has not real connection. He opposes it because wealthy bosses do not like it. It cuts into their profits. So do not be conned by the faux plea.

Our standing in the world for will plummet and just like the economy we and our wildlife will suffer. How will Britain be able to speak out against seal culling in Canada or Bull fighting in Spain to name just two issues? Why would any other country listen to us over animal concerns with Cameron in charge?

Now contrast all this with Gordon Brown who is on record in saying “cruelty has no place in a compassionate society” Who has also got behind and backed the Save Me campaign led by Brian May. Brown is decent; he may not be your idea of a PM in the media world. Yet he has conviction and you can trust him. His is grounded in experience and has substance.

He will not win any X Factor contest but then why should he have to. Running the country is not a game it’s about millions of lives and how the country is governed. Brown did not lose the TV debates yet the media lost it for the country with their next to rigged instant polling.

Here you have David Cameron, Nick Clegg and Gordon Brown. Only Brown has spoken openly against hunting and described the cruelty. Clegg could hardly bring himself to mention it. It says a lot about a person that they can’t be bothered to show they understand the nations concerns.

Perhaps for some of you an animal issue is not enough to base your vote on, yet it’s a decider and one of great importance. It has taken over 80 years to get this far and yet in a few hours extreme animal cruelty can be given the green light again.

Do you really want a man as Prime Minister who sees nothing wrong in Hare Coursing? For it is not just the poor fox that will suffer. Do you really want a man who seems to delight in knowing a terrified Stag will run for its life to total exhaustion? Perhaps because it’s just a mink to many, you feel that animal also deserves to be torn to pieces. Is this the image of Britain you want to go out across the world? What of the next stage how about Otters? For the hunting lobby are already getting excited about the increase in population…

We have to say no, decency in society is vital to the well being of the nation. Cameron is an utter disgrace, a vile man who pretends to care for all in society when his motivation is elsewhere.

Now it is still down to you on who you vote for. Yet when it comes to compassion and being in touch with decency then really there is only one choice. Labour are the party that campaigned for the hunting ban over decades. It is their MPs who listened in large numbers to the concerns of the public and made the ban happen. It is Labour who is committed to protecting and strengthening the hunting ban.

The party’s are not all the same and the support Labour MPs show on animal issues is vital. Wouldn’t it be good to have many compassionate MPs speaking up for society and animals? Well you do but that is now at risk. It’s not just about one term. If we lose the hunting ban now it could take a lifetime to bring back.

Society and our wildlife need many things. David Cameron is not one of them. The Tories are not ready to govern and our society cannot take the pain they will inflict on the economy. Only you know how you will vote, yet you have to ask yourself just what are you seeking change for? It’s not enough to say it’s been a while. You have to know why and you have to have a sense of future about the Tories…but where? Where is that vision Cameron claims to have? For our wildlife it means only painful death.

Far from being change it’s the same old Tory party. The same old excuses and the same old failed policies is what lie ahead. Cameron is not the man to base your future on.

If you have compassion and you care for our wildlife and society then it’s clear where your support needs to be.

Vote Labour today.

The campaign which is encouraging people to use their vote o to ensure that present laws protecting animals from cruelty are kept in place. Their facebook group has grown by 8000 people a week and now totals over 31,000 supporters who are horrified that hunting could return soon after the election.

Yesterday, supporters of Fox in Parliament took Flash the Fox to support Bob Blizzard, MP (PPC) for Waveney. Bob who spoke at length in support of the Bill to BAN HUNTING introduced ‘Flash’ the Fox to the Prime Minster in Lowestoft.

With full TV entourage following the visit, Flash who was resplendent in Brian May’s Save-Me T shirt asked Gordon.. to ‘SAVE ME!’

Prime Minster, Gordon Brown replied.. ‘Cruelty has no place in a compassionate society…’ In other words, ‘Yes, I can..!. Gordon Brown expressed his concerns over this issue in depth to the constituents who had been shocked to hear of David Cameron’s intentions if he becomes Prime Minister are to allow a free vote to repeal the hunt ban.

“I want to put on record my admiration for Brian May’s campaign to keep hunting with dogs illegal. I’m happy to add my voice to the tens of thousands of other who have already backed his campaign. I also want to put on record my total commitment, that under a Labour government this ban on cruelty will be maintained. Fox hunting should stay in the history books where it belongs” Flash the fox responds with heartfelt thanks to Gordon … echoing the hit Queen Song for the blockbuster film, Flash Gordon adds -
